Skills Development
The Association for Skills Development in South Africa (ASDSA) is a Section 21 company that represents skills development professionals at all levels in organisations, including skills development administrators, learning managers, facilitators, assessors, moderators, SDFs and skills development executives fulfilling strategic roles in large organisations. Our mission is to benefit the local community through Skills Development. Members are required to abide by a code of conduct.
Regional Support
The ASDSA has branches in Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, with satellite structures in Mpumalanga, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape (Port Elizabeth and East London), Free State and North West.
Events
The ASDSA hosts regular information-sharing workshops and seminars around the country. The purpose of these events is to obtain inputs on changes in policy and legislation and to share the latest news in learning and development in South Africa. The attendance fee for these events is substantially discounted for members.

The Vision of the Association for Skills Development in South Africa (ASDSA) is to seek to establish and maintain the credibility of the skills development profession, regardless of the industrial sector

Develop and implement a professional designation certification programme for skills development professionals
Develop and implement a continuous professional development programme so that the skills development professionals can maintain currency in developments and initiatives in this field
Be represented on business and labour forums
Develop a qualifications framework
Represent members’ skills related interests
Support, assist and provide knowledge and information that is required by members in order to fulfil their corporate socio-economic and community responsibilities
